Lots to cover so let’s get into it…

What Is The Internet?

The Internet is a global network of computers. Every computer that is connected to the Internet is considered a part of that network including your home computer.

If you’re only relatively new to the internet, it can be overwhelming to consider some of the vast numbers of people around the world who access social networking, websites, emails, instant messaging programs and other internet-based programs every day.

Once considered something of a niche-interest, the internet has grown far more extensively than any other industry in history.

Have YOU Ever Wondered How Big the Internet Is?

As of December 2000, there were around 360 million internet users accessing the internet to browse for information.
Move forward 10 years…

Facebook (The World’s largest social networking website) stated in a fact sheet that they have over 500 million active users in the last 30 days. You can review the fact sheet at the end of the video.

If Facebook, who began in February 2004, was a country, they would be the 3rd most populated in the world influencing the internet and creating an economy of their own like no other before it!

The following Facebook statistics are just mind boggling:

  • People spend over 700 billion minutes per month on Facebook
  • More than 30 billion pieces of content are shared each month.
  • About 70% of Facebook users are outside the United States
  • More than one million developers and entrepreneurs from more than 180 countries
  • More than one million websites have integrated with Facebook Platform
  • More than 150 million people engage with Facebook on external websites every month
  • Two-thirds of comScore’s U.S. Top 100 websites and half of comScore’s Global Top 100 websites have integrated with Facebook
  • There are more than 150 million active users currently accessing Facebook through their mobile devices.

Would you believe that there are more web addresses than there are people on Earth!!

The current global population currently stands at more than 6.855 billion.

Google (The world’s largest search engine) has already indexed more than ONE TRILLION discrete web addresses!

That means there are about 150 web addresses per person in the world.

Translated: If you spent just one minute reading every website in existence, you’d be kept busy for 31,000 years.

So Why Do YOU Need the Internet Anyway?

The internet is quickly replacing snail-mail, postcards and the telephone as a means of almost-instant communication.

The internet has become a way to connect with people, keep in touch, make new friends, shop, make money, do the banking, research tool, university and way more…

As people grow more aware of the need to shop around to save money, they’re turning to the internet in droves to compare products and services and find the best possible prices for the things they want. This has led to an enormous increase in consumer spending online as more people realize there are some great savings to be made this way.

But the internet is responsible for also driving the largest growth in any business sector in the history of mankind.

The percentage of people deriving their incomes from having access to the internet is surprisingly large and growing daily. The world of cyber-real estate (websites) virtual web property (blogs and business sites) and E-commerce outlets (online businesses) has evolved into a multi-billion dollar industry each year.

In fact, for several years running, internet-related industries and careers have been listed as the fastest growing sectors in the world.

It is estimated that 25% of all commerce is conducted online with a prediction that approximately 75% will be conducted online in the next 10 years.

It’s no surprise, then, that online entrepreneurs quickly saw the correlation between brick-and-mortar businesses and cyber-businesses (or online business) and put that similarity to good use.

Successful online businesses can be extremely profitable and they can be run without the high overhead costs that brick-and-mortar businesses pay.

Only Businesses Need Websites, Don’t They?

Due to the massive growth in online businesses, many people believe they need to have an already-successful business operating in a real-world location somewhere to benefit from having a website.

This simply isn’t true.

Since the Global Financial Crisis swept around the world, more people than ever before are turning to the internet as a way to generate extra income or build up a bit of extra cash flow to help them get ahead a bit further.

Even if you’re just looking for a way to put aside a little extra into your retirement savings, or perhaps trying to supplement a low paying job, the internet can provide solutions for many.

Of the people who do end up learning to generate income online, a large proportion of them figure out very quickly that the low cost of running an Internet business, coupled with the vastly increased global marketplace can mean making far easier profits online than by going to a day job each day.

The costs associated with running and maintaining an internet-based business are minimal, especially when you compare them to the high overhead costs of having a physical brick-and-mortar store.

You’ll also find that the massive potential for your website to reach customers from around the world can help to increase your profits. You’re not limited to selling to people within your own local area.

However, the true beauty of the internet is that you can make it as big or a small as your own personal preferences dictate.

It’s all up to you.

Are you ready to get started? Let’s go…

Why Don’t You Have a Website?

Most people cringe at the idea of building a website. They believe they have nothing important to say. They fear that they’ll get it wrong. They worry that it will be a failure and no one will visit.

There’s also the overwhelming dread of how much work must go into building up an entire website. After all, that kind of work takes time, effort and knowledge.

If you’re anything like most people, your spare time is already limited. The last thing you want to do is spend your free time trying to figure out how to write in HTML code and figure out how to load your coded pages to a remote web host somewhere across the other side of the world.

It’s just too complicated… Right?

Not quite.

You see, At Paradise 1 Productions we understand that the landscape of the internet has changed drastically. The need for an internet presence is crucial to the success of any business, large or small, but there’s also a need to establish a web presence even for people who aren’t in business.

The internet is changing how we communicate, how we interact, how we learn and how we shop.

Why aren’t you a part of it yet?

What’s really holding you back?

Let us help you with that at P1P today – you can set up your website and we will help you all the way.
